Serial Port Connection

Note

The recommended speed setting for the serial port is 115200.

A serial port connection enables you to:

•Download software (see “Updating the Software”)

•Enable options

•Save screens

•Upload and download PING catalogs

•Upload Report data.

To connect NetTool, use the supplied serial cable. As shown in Figure 2-7, connect one end of the cable to the serial port on the PC and the other end to the serial port on the right side of NetTool.
