|
The SLEEP command sets the ODD in sleep mode. The ODD enters sleep mode by following the steps given below.
1.The ODD spins down media.
2.The ODD issues an interrupt to the host to report command end. After the host receives the interrupt, the ODD deactivates the interface. Once the interface becomes inactive, the ODD ignores all resets except software reset and hardware reset and Device Reset command.
A software reset, or hardware reset or Device Reset command is required for a return from sleep mode.
Software reset is recommended for returning from sleep mode.
