7.2Diagnostics

The system is equipped with a diagnostic test which check it for proper operation.

7.2.1Self test at power on

The terminal unit performs the ROM sum check and RAM read and write test when turned on. If the test results are normal the equipment goes into standby. If error is found you cannot transmit. Contact your dealer for advice.

7.2.2Testing the communication unit through the keyboard, displaying program version no.

The communication unit must be idle to execute the test.

2.Press the [7] key ([6] key if the FELCOM 16 functions as an EGC receiver) to display the Test menu.

4.Yes is selected; press the [Enter] key to start the test. The message “Now testing” (flashing) appears during the testing.

When the test is completed, the screen shows the test results as shown at the top of the next page.
