Diagnostics mode

When this option is selected from the System Utilities menu, a confirmation message appears to verify the selection. If a response of Y (yes) is given to the confirmation message, current interface card activities are interrupted while the unit restarts itself and enters diagnostics mode. The power-up messages appear followed by the diagnostics menu.

Select 1 to perform a loopback test of the Ethernet connection on the interface card unit. For the test to be performed correctly, an Ethernet loopback connector must be attached to the interface card’s Ethernet port before selecting this option.

Select 2 to perform a loopback test of the Fibre Channel connection on the interface card unit. For the test to be performed correctly, a Fibre Channel loopback connector must be attached to the interface card’s Fibre Channel port before selecting this option.

Selecting X (exit) from System Diagnostics Mode has a confirmation message to verify the selection. If Y (yes) is given to the confirmation message, the interface card restarts itself and enters normal operation mode. The power-up messages appear followed by the main menu.

NOTE: When exiting System Diagnostics Mode, remove any diagnostics cables before restarting the unit.
