9 Prepare for printing
Install the printheads

After the initial power up of the printer in normal boot mode, the printer recognizes that the printheads are not installed. Use the following procedure to install the printheads and also follow the instructions on the front panel.
1.At the front panel, select the Ink System icon 
and then Replace printheads.
2.When requested by the front panel, open the printhead access door in the side of the printer.
3.Lift the carriage cover.
