5.2Using Microsoft Windows Mobile® Device Center on Windows Vista

Microsoft Windows Mobile® Device Center is the replacement for Microsoft® ActiveSync® on Windows Vista™.

If you want to synchronize your phone with your computer, you will need to install a synchronization program such as Windows Mobile Device Center in Windows Vista or Microsoft ActiveSync 4 .5 (or above) in Windows XP.

You can install the Windows Mobile Device Center from the Getting Start CD according to the Instruction in the CD or from Control Panel > System and Maintenance > Windows Update on your PC.

Note Some versions of Windows Vista come with Windows Mobile Device Center already installed. If Windows Mobile Device Center is not available on your Windows Vista, you can install it from the Getting Started Disc that came with your device.

Install Windows Mobile Device Center

1.Place the Getting Start CD in the CD-ROM driver at your PC.

2.Click Setup and Installation.

3.Select the check boxes of the applications you want to install ( Windows Mobile Device Handbook and Windows Mobile Device) , then click Install.
