Note: This system is equipped with a second power supply. Before continuing with this procedure, connect all power sources to the system.

4.Start the system, as described in Starting the system or logical partition.

5.Note the state of the light-emitting diodes (LEDs) on the power supply. For more information, see “Power supply LEDs” on page 8. If the LEDs indicate that the power supply is operating normally, that is, the AC input LED and the DC output LED are on solid (not flashing) and the fault/identify LED is flashing or off, continue to the next step. If not, remove the power supply from the system and repeat the procedure starting with step 2 on page 4. If, after repeating the procedure, the power supply is not operating normally, contact your service provider.

Reconnect the power cable A to the front of the power supply, and then slide the cable retention bracket B to the closed position to secure the cable as shown in Figure 19.
