If you installed an I/O expansion option, verify that:
vThe option is designed for the blade server.
vYou followed the installation instructions that came with the option.
vThe option is installed correctly.
vYou have not loosened any other installed options or cables.
vYou updated the configuration information in the Configuration/Setup Utility program. Whenever memory or an option is changed, you must update the configuration.

Error messages and error codes
The system BIOS displays error messages on the video screen during POST if errors are detected. POST error codes are logged in the event log.
The blade server has local system event log logging capability. The local system event log is stored in and updated by the baseboard management controller (BMC). For information about accessing the system event log, see “Viewing the test log” on page 27. System event log entries logged by the BMC and system event log entries logged by the management module might be different for the same event type.
