SetAuthenticationMode()

 

 

Call this function to set the desired authentication mode.

 

 

Syntax

UINT SetAuthenticationMode( ULONG );

Parameters

NDIS_RADIO_AUTH_MODE_OPEN

802.11b/g Open Authentication. Indicates that the

 

 

radio is using an open system.

 

NDIS_RADIO_AUTH_MODE_SHARED

802.11b/g Shared Authentication. Indicates that the

 

 

radio is using a shared key.

 

NDIS_RADIO_AUTH_MODE_AUTO

Auto switch between Open/Shared. Indicates

 

 

automatic detection is used when available.

 

NDIS_RADIO_AUTH_MODE_ERROR

Defined as error value. Indicates the authentication

 

 

mode was not determined at this time or is

 

 

unknown.

 

NDIS_RADIO_AUTH_MODE_WPA

WPA Authentication

 

NDIS_RADIO_AUTH_MODE_WPA_PSK

WPA Preshared Key Authentication

 

 

 

 

NDIS_RADIO_AUTH_MODE_WPA_NONE

WPA None

 

 

 

Return Values ERROR_SUCCESS when successful, ERR_QUERY_FAILED when the query failed, or ERR_CONNECT_FAILED if a connection with the radio failed.

SetChannel()

This function is currently not implemented. Ad-hoc networks automatically select a channel or use the already existing channel.

Syntax

UINT SetChannel( USHORT );

Parameters

USHORT value that should populate with the desired channel (1-14).
