SHOWVIEW Timer Programming

You can programme this unit to timer record as many as 8 programmes.

4The ASHOWVIEW NO.B you entered and the matching timer recording information are displayed on the TV screen. Check the programme data. To cancel this setting, press RETURN.

IMPORTANT:

Make sure the channel position number you wish to record is displayed. If not, see ASHOWVIEW System SetupB (A pg. 78) and set the Guide Programme number correctly.

With the SHOWVIEW system, timer programming is greatly simplified because each TV programme has a corresponding code number which your unit is able to recognise.

You can use the remote control to enter the SHOWVIEW number.

Turn on the unit.

Turn on the TV and select an input mode such as EXT1.

Set the remote control selector switch to AUDIO.

Press DVD on the remote control.

Make sure that the unit’s built-in clock is set properly.

If the number you entered is invalid, ASHOWVIEW NO. ERROR CONFIRM SHOWVIEW NO. THEN RETRYB appears on the TV screen. Input a valid ASHOWVIEW NO.B.

If AGUIDE PROGRAMME IS NOT SET SELECT CHANNEL YOU WANT TO RECORDB appears on the TV screen, set Guide Programme number manually.

When APROGRAMME FULL DELETE UNWANTED TIMER PROGRAMMEB appears on the TV screen, you need to cancel some of the reserved programmes.

IMPORTANT:

If you have moved to a different area or if a broadcasting station’s channel number has been changed, the wrong channel number will be displayed on the SHOWVIEW programme screen in step 4. When this happens, set the correct Guide Programme number for that station.

There may be cases that the SHOWVIEW Timer Programming function prolongs the stop time of the programming.

When two successive programmes are recorded with the

SHOWVIEW Timer Programming function, the ending of the first programme or the beginning of the second programme may not be recorded.

If the copy limited programme is received during timer recording, the unit enters Record Pause mode. Recording starts again if it is switched to a recordable broadcast during the time you programmed.

TV DIRECT mode is activated when the unit turns on automatically during SHOWVIEW Timer Programming.

Daily/Weekly Recording Function

You can record programmes with one of the following weekly/daily timer settings.

WEEKLYSelect to record a weekly programme.
MON-FRISelect to record a daily programme from Monday

 

through Friday.
MON-SAT

Select to record a daily programme from Monday

 

through Saturday.
SUN-SATSelect to record a daily programme from Sunday
