3Wipe the printhead contacts and the contacts inside the printhead carrier using a clean, lintfree cloth.

4Reinsert the printhead, and then close the latch until it clicks into place.

5Close the printer.

Note: If removing and reinserting the printhead does not resolve the error, then turn off the printer, and then turn it back on. If the problem persists, then contact customer support.

Printhead Missing

Try one or more of the following:

Install the printhead.

1Open the printer, and then lift the carrier latch.

2Insert the printhead, and then close the latch until it clicks into place.

Note: Make sure to install the ink cartridges into the printhead. For more information, see “Replacing ink cartridges” in the User’s Guide.
