INITIALIZE Command

This command restores both the current and default environment variables to their factory default values and updates the printer NVRAM. This command affects all of the variables listed in “Table 3-3: Common Variables for Both Printer Languages” on page 3-12through “Table 3-8: Printer Unique Variables for PostScript Emulation” on page 3-52,except the following:

All read only variables

PASSWORD

LANG

LRESOURCESAVE

LDOWNLOADTARGET

LPPDS

LHONORINIT

LUSDEFAULTS

PARALLEL

RESOURCESAVE

Note: This command does not affect LRESOURCE variables listed in “Table 3-9: Printer Unique LRESOURCE Variables” on page 3-53.

Syntax:

@PJL INITIALIZE[<CR>]<LF>

RESET Command

This command resets the current environment variables to the settings stored in the printer NVRAM. Therefore, any variables modified by the PJL SET command are returned to their default value after execution of the PJL RESET command.

Syntax:

@PJL RESET[<CR>]<LF>
