Potential problems

Two types of messages appear on the display according to the nature of the problem.

Warning message

When any error occurs in parameters for auto focus, auto exposure, or paper size detection prior to scanning, a warning message appears on the display and the Scanner stops. Warning messages can be reset by pressing any key on the control panel. Refer to the following pages for the action required for each message.

Error message

When any error occurs in the Scanner, an error message appears on the display, the start key turns red, and scanning stops. In this case, turn the power switch off and then back on. If the same message appears again, check the error code (numbers following the letter “C”) and call your authorized dealer.
