Troubleshooting

This chapter describes troubleshooting techniques for the Passport 8100 modules.

This chapter includes information about the following topics:

Normal power-up sequence (this page)

Normal Power-Up Sequence

In a normal power-up sequence, the LEDs display as follows:

1.When power is applied to the switch, the green LED on each power supply and fan tray turns on within 5 seconds.

2.Each module initiates a self-test, during which the port and module LEDs display various patterns to indicate the progress of the self-test.

3.Upon successful completion of the self-test (within 10 seconds after power is applied), the Online LED lights.
