USER SETTINGS

CUSTOM SETTINGS

The custom settings let you adjust certain features of the machine to better suit your needs. The custom settings include the following settings:

TOTAL COUNT

This displays the number of pages output by the machine. (p.53)

DISPLAY CONTRAST

This is used to adjust the contrast of the touch panel. (p.53)

LIST PRINT*1

This is used to print a setting list or a font list. (p.53)

CLOCK

This is used to set the date and time of the machine’s built-in clock. (p.53)

TRAY SETTINGS

This is used to configure the paper type and paper size settings for each

 

tray, and select whether or not automatic switch over to another tray with the

 

same size and type of paper will take place if the paper runs out during

 

continuous printing. (p.53)

The following settings are explained in detail in the operation manual for facsimile.

ADDRESS CONTROL*2

If your machine has the fax option, this setting is used to store fax numbers

 

for automatic dialling. Group keys and user indexes can also be

RECEIVE MODE*2

programmed.

This is used to select the fax receive mode (automatic or manual).

FAX DATA FORWARD*2

This is used to forward faxes received in memory to another destination.

KEYBOARD SELECT*3

When using the fax or network scanner function, use this setting to change

 

the layout of the keyboard in the letter entry screen. (p.53)

KEY OPERATOR PROGRAMS.. Settings for key operators (administrators of this machine). A key appears for these settings in the custom settings menu screen. For explanations of the settings, see the Key operator’s guide. (For explanations of key operator programs for the fax option, see the operation manual for facsimile.)
