Message	Error description	On-screen display
FAN STOP1	FAN-1 has stopped. It will continue to operate	FAN STOP
	for a while but when the internal temperature
	rises, its power will be turned off.
FAN STOP2	FAN-2 has stopped. It will continue to operate	FAN STOP
	for a while but when the internal temperature
	rises, its power will be turned off.
NO CUE ERASE CURRENT	No erase current is flowing to the CUE erase	ERASE ERROR
	head.
NO TC ERASE CURRENT	No erase current is flowing to the TC erase	ERASE ERROR
	head.
NO FULL ERASE CURRENT	No erase current is flowing to the full erase	ERASE ERROR
	head.
NO CTL ERASE CURRENT	No erase current is flowing to the CTL erase	ERASE ERROR
	head.
VIDEO CONCEAL SW OFF	The VIDEO CONCEAL SW has been set to OFF	CONCEAL SW OFF
	due to the TEST RF menu setting.
INNER ECC SW OFF	The INNER ECC SW has been set to OFF due	ECC SW OFF
	to the TEST RF menu setting.
OUTER VIDEO ECC SW	The OUTER VIDEO ECC SW has been set to	ECC SW OFF
OFF	OFF due to the TEST RF menu setting.
OUTER AUDIO ECC SW	The OUTER AUDIO ECC SW has been set to	ECC SW OFF
OFF	OFF due to the TEST RF menu setting.
AUDIO CONCEAL SW OFF	The AUDIO CONCEAL SW has been set to OFF	CONCEAL SW OFF
	due to the TEST RF menu setting.
T-REE TURNS TOO SLOW	The take-up reel rotation during recording and/or	T REER ERROR
	playback is abnormal.
SERVO UNLOCK	The servo has been disengaged (unlocked).	SERVO UNLOCK
CTL NOT DETECTED	The CTL signal cannot be played back.	CTL NOT DET.
LOW RF	The RF playback level has dropped. Clean the video	LOW RF
	heads. (This level is detected only during recording.)
AUDIO MUTE	The audio output has been muted. Check the	AUDIO MUTE
	tape playback mode.
CONCEAL A	Errors were corrected in the PCM audio data.	CONCEAL A
	Check the tape playback mode.
CONCEAL V	Errors were corrected in the video data. Check	CONCEAL V
	the tape playback mode.
HIGH ERROR RATE	The error rate has deteriorated.	HIGH ERROR
CTL HEAD CLOGGING	The CTL head is clogged. Clean the video	CTL HEAD CLOG
	heads.
LTC HEAD CLOGGING	The LTC head is clogged. Clean the video	LTC HEAD CLOG
	heads.
LOW RF (REC HEAD)	The level of the RF envelope played back from	LOW RF
	the rotary recording head has dropped. (This
	level is detected only during playback.)
MISTRACK IN OPTIMIZED	Tracking optimizing was not completed	OPT ERROR
TRACKING DATA	successfully.
