If your machine's memory is full or you wish to send the document real time, use Direct Transmission.

Manual Number Dialing (Direct Transmission)

To dial the telephone number manually, follow the steps below.

Set document(s) face down.

Make sure that the lamp is off. If not, press MEMORY to set ºOffº.

Enter a telephone number from the keypad.

Note: 1. If you need a special access number to get an outside line, dial it first then press pause (represented by a º±º) before dialing the full number.

2. If you are using Pulse dialing and you wish to change to Tone dialing in the middle of dialing, press

TONE (represented by a º/º).

The dialing mode will be changed from Pulse to Tone after dialing the digit º/º.

Ex: 9 PAUSE TONE 5551234

3.To stop the transmission, press The display shows:

COMMUNICATION STOP ? 1:YES 2:NO

STOP

.

Press 1 to stop the transmission. The Communication Journal will not print out regardless of the printout mode setting of the Communication Journal.
