!OnlyRDS stations are tuned in during seek
tuningor BSM when AF is on.
!Whenyou recall a preset station, the tuner
mayupdate the preset station with a new fre-
quencyfrom the stations AF list. (This is only
availablewhen using presets on the FM1 or
FM2bands.) No preset number appears on
thedisplay if the RDS data for the station re-
ceiveddiffers from that for the originally
storedstation.
!Soundmay be temporarily interrupted by an-
otherprogram during a AF frequency search.
!AFcan be turned on or off independently for
eachFM band.
Using PI Seek
Ifthe unit fails to find asuitable alternative fre-
quency,or if you are listening to a broadcast
andthe reception becomes weak, the unit will
automaticallysearch for a different station
withthe same programming. During the
search,PI SEEK is displayed and the output is
muted.The muting is discontinued after com-
pletionof the PI Seek, whether or not a differ-
entstation is found.
Using Auto PI Seek for preset
stations
Whenpreset stations cannot be recalled, as
whentravelling long distances, the unit can
beset to perform PISeek during preset recall.
!Thedefault setting for Auto PI Seek is off.

Limiting stations to regional
programming
WhenAF is used to automatically retune fre-
quencies,the regional function limits the se-
lectionto stations broadcasting regional
programs.

Receiving traffic
announcements
TA(traffic announcement standby) lets you re-
ceivetraffic announcements automatically, no
matterwhat source you arelistening to. TA
canbe activated for both aTP station (a sta-
tionthat broadcasts traffic information) or an
enhancedother networks TP station (a station
carryinginformation which cross-references
TPstations).
