Adjusting the speakeroutput levels
Youcan readjust the speaker output levels
usinga test tone while listening to music.
1 TouchA.MENU and AUDIO and then
touchNEXT.
2 TouchSP LEVEL.
3 Touchaor bto select the speaker to
beadjusted.
Eachtime you touch aor bselects the speak-
erin the following order:
FRONTL (front speaker left)CENTER (center
speaker)FRONTR (front speaker right)
REARR (rear speaker right)REAR L (rear
speakerleft)SUB WOOFER (subwoofer)
#Youcannot select speakers whose size is set
OFF.
4 Touchcor dto adjust the speaker out-
putlevel.
Eachtime you touch cor dincreases or de-
creasesthe speaker output level. +10 10 is
displayedas the level is increased or de-
creased.
Note
Toadjust the speaker output levels at this mode is
thesame as making the speaker output levels at
TESTTONE. Both provide the same results.
Adjusting the speaker outputlevels using a test toneAconvenient test tone allows you to easily get
theoverall balance right among the speakers.

3 TouchSTART to start the test tone out-
put.
Thetest tone is output. It rotates from speaker
tospeaker in the following sequence at inter-
valsof about two seconds. The current set-
tingsfor the speaker over which you hear the
testtone are shown in the display.

REARR (rear speaker right)REAR L (rear

Checkeach speaker output level. If no adjust-
mentsare needed, per form step 5 to stop the
testtone.
#Youcan also start the test tone output by mov-
ingthe joystick up.
#Thesettings do not appear for speakers
whosesize is set OFF.
4 Touchcor dto adjust the speaker out-
putlevel.
Eachtime you touch cor dincreases or de-
creasesthe speaker output level. +10 10 is
displayedas the level is increased or de-
creased.
#Thetest tone rotates to the next speaker af ter
abouttwo seconds from the last operation.
5 TouchSTOP to stop the test tone out-
put.
#Youcan also stop the test tone output by mov-
ingthe joystick down.

!Toadjust the speaker output levels at this
modeis the same as making the speaker out-
putlevels at SP LEVEL. Both provide the same
