Initialsettings lets you per form initial set up of
differentsettings for this unit.
1Functiondisplay
Showsthe function names.
1 Touchthe source icon and then touch
SOURCEOFF to turn this unit off.
#Whenthe source icon is not displayed, you
candisplay it by touching the screen.
2 TouchA.MENU and then touch INITIAL
todisplay the function names.
Thefunction names are displayed and oper-
ableones are highlighted.
#WhenA.MENU is not displayed, you can dis-
playit by touching the screen.
#Youcan also display MENU by clicking the
joystick.
#Togo to the next group of function names,
touchNEXT.
#Toreturn to the previous group of function
names,touch PREV.
#Whenthe multi-channel processor (e.g., DEQ-
P7000)is connected to this unit, you can operate
DIGTLATT instead of REAR SP.
#Toreturn to the previous display, touch BACK.
#Toreturn to the display of each source, touch
ESC.
Setting the FM tuning stepNormallythe FM tuning step employed by
seektuning is 50kHz. When AFor TA is on,
thetuning step automatically changes to 100
kHz.It may be preferable to set the tuning step
to50 kHz when AFis on.
1 TouchA.MENU and INITIAL and then
touchFM STEP.
2 Touchcor dto select the FM tuning
step.
Touchingcor dwill switch the FM tuning
stepbetween 50 kHz and 100 kHz while AF or
TAis on. The selected FM tuning step will ap-
pearin the display.
Note
Thetuning step remains at 50 kHz during manual
tuning.
Switching Auto PI SeekTheunit can automatically search for a differ-
entstation with the same programming, even
duringpreset recall.
1 TouchA.MENU and INITIAL and then
touchAUTO PI.
2 Touchato turn Auto PI Seek on.
#Toturn Auto PI Seek off, touch b.
Switching the warning toneIfthe front panel is not detached fromthe
headunit within five seconds of turning off the
ignition,a warning tone will sound. You can
turnoff the warning tone.
