Youcan use this unit to control multi-channel
processor(DEQ-P7000), which is sold sepa-
rately.
Bycarrying out thefollowing settings/adjust-
mentsin order, you can create a finely-tuned
soundfield effortlessly.

%TouchA.MENU and then touch AUDIO
todisplay the DSP function names.
TheDSP function names are displayed and
operableones are highlighted.
#WhenA.MENU is not displayed, you can dis-
playit by touching the screen.
#Youcan also display MENU by clicking the
joystick.
#Togo to the next group of function names,
touchNEXT.
#Toreturn to the previous group of function
names,touch PREV.
#Whenselecting the FM tuner as the source,
youcannot switch to SLA.
#Whenplaying other than the DVD disc, you
cannotswitch to D. R. C or DUAL MONO.
#Whenneither FRONT-L nor FRONT-Ris se-
lectedin POSITION, you cannot switch to
TIMEALIGN.
#Whenneither CUSTOM1 nor CUSTOM2 is se-
lectedas an equalizer curve, you cannot switch
toPEQ.
#Toreturn to the previous display, touch BACK.
#Toreturn to the display of each source, touch
ESC.
Note
Ifyou do not operate the DSP function within
about30 seconds, the display is automatically re-
turnedto the source display.
Using the sound field control
TheSFC function creates the sensation of a
liveperformance.
!Theacoustics of different performance en-
vironmentsare not the same and depend
onthe extent and contour of space through
whichsound waves move and on how
soundsbounce off the stage, walls, floors
andceilings. At a live per formance you
hearmusic in three stages: direct sound,
earlyreflections, and late reflections, or re-
verberations.Those factors are programed
intothe SFC circuitry to recreate the acous-
ticsof various performance settings.
1 PressEQ and hold to switch to SFC
function.
PressEQ and hold until SFC appears in the
display.
#Toswitch to equalizer function, press EQ and
holdagain.
