Operatingthe menu by using the

joystick

Youcan also perform most of the menu items
byusing the joystick.
!Switchthe remote control operation mode
toAVH to operate themenu by using the
joystickon the remote control. (Refer to
page18.)
1 Clickthe joystick during display of each
sourceto display MENU.
MENUappears on the display.
2 Movethe joystick up or down and then
clickit to display the function names you
wantto operate.
#Togo to the next group of function names,
movethe joystick to NEXT and click it.
#Toreturn to the previous group of function
names,move the joystick to PREV and click it.
3 PressBAND/ESC to return to the display
ofeach source.
#Youcan return to the previous display by
pressingBACK.
Opening and closing theLCD panel
TheLCD panel will be opened or closed auto -
maticallywith the turning of the ignition
switchon or off. You can turn off the automatic
close/openfunction. (Refer to page 92.)
!Theautomatic close/open function will op-
eratethe display as follows.
Whenthe ignition switch is turned OFF
whilethe LCD panel is opened, the LCD
panelwill close after six seconds.
Whenthe ignition switch is turned ON
again(or turned to ACC), the LCD panel
willbe opened automatically.
Removingor attaching the front panel
willautomatically close or open the LCD
panel.(Refer to page 27.)
!Whenthe ignition switch is turned OFF
afterthe LCD panel has been closed, turn-
ingthe ignition switch ON again (or turning
itto ACC) will not open the LCD panel. In
thiscase, press OPEN/CLOSE to open the
LCDpanel.
!Whenclosing the LCD panel, check to
makesure that it has closed completely. If
theLCD panel has stopped halfway, leaving
itlike this could result in damage.
%PressOPEN/CLOSE to open the LCD
panel.
#Toclose the LCD panel, press OPEN/CLOSE
again.

Adjusting the LCD panel angle

Important
!Ifyou can hear the LCD panel knocking
againstyour vehicles console or dashboard,
pressANGLE ()to move the LCD panel a lit-
tleforward.
!Whenadjusting the LCD panel angle, be sure
topress ANGLE (+/). Forcibly adjusting the
LCDpanel by hand may damage it.
%PressANGLE (+/) to adjust the LCD
panelto an easily viewable angle.
TheLCD panel angle continues changing as
longas you press ANGLE (+/)and hold.
