Changing the viewing angleduring playback (Multi-angle)
WithDVDs featuring multi-angle (scenes shot
frommultiple angles) recordings, you can
switchamong viewing angles during play-
back.
!Duringplayback of a scene shot frommul-
tipleangles on this unit, the angle icon
isdisplayed. Turn angle icon display
onor off using DVD SETUP MENU. For de-
tails,refer to Setting angle icon display on
page85.
%TouchANGLE during playback of a
sceneshot from multiple angles.
Eachtime you touch ANGLE switches be-
tweenangle.
Notes
!The 3markon a DVDs package indicates it
featuresmulti-angle scenes. The number in
the 3markindicates the number of angles
fromwhich scenes were shot.
!TouchingANGLE during fast forward/fast re-
verse,pause or slow motion playback returns
youto normal playback.
Using the dynamic range
control
Thedynamic range refers to the difference be-
tweenthe largest and softest sounds. The dy-
namicrange control compresses this
differenceso that you can clearly hear sounds
evenat low volume levels.
!Thedynamic range control is effective only
onDolby Digital sounds.
!Thedynamic range control may produce lit-
tleeffect on certain discs.
