Pioneer AVH-P7500DVD Using the auto-equalizer

!Thecenter speaker largely determines the
soundimage and getting the balance right
isnteasy. We recommend reproducing a 2-
ch.audio (a CD for example) and getting
thebalance right among the speakers ex-
ceptfor the center, and then reproducing a
5.1-ch.audio (Dolby Digital or DTS) and ad-
justingthe center speaker output to the
balanceyou have already got among the
otherspeakers.
1 TouchA.MENU and AUDIO and then
touchPARAMETRIC EQ.
2 TouchC.EQ to select the equalizer.
TouchC.EQ repeatedly to switch between the
followingequalizers:
SUPERBASS (S BASS)
POWERFUL(PWRFUL)NATURALVOCAL
FLATCUSTOM1CUSTOM2
CUSTOM3CUSTOM4
3 TouchPOS to select the speaker to be
adjusted.
Eachtime you touch POS selects speakers in
thefollowing order:
FRONT(front speakers)REAR (rear speak-
ers)CENTER(center speaker)
#Youcannot select speakers whose size is set
OFF.
4 TouchBAND to select the equalizer
bandto be adjusted.
Eachtime you touch BAND selects equalizer
bandsin the following order:
LOW(low)MID (mid)HIGH (high)
5 Touchcor dto select the center fre-
quencyof selected band.
Touchcor duntil the desired frequency ap-
pearsin the display.

#Youcan select a center frequency from
among20 frequencies for each band. You can
changethe center frequency in 1/3-octave steps,
butyou cannot select frequencies that have inter-
valsshorter than 1 octave among the center fre-
quenciesof the three bands.
6 Touchaor bto adjust the equalizer
level.
Eachtime you touch aor bincreases or de-
creasesthe equalizer level. +12dB 12dB is
displayedas the level is increased or de-
creased.
7 TouchQ.Fac to select the desired Q fac-
tor.
Eachtime you touch Q.Fac switches between
thefollowing Q factor:
WIDE(wide)NARROW (narrow)
#Youcan adjust parameters for each band of
theother speakers in the same way.
8 TouchESC to return to the playback dis-
play.
Using the auto-equalizer
Theauto-equalizer is the equalizer cur ve cre-
atedby auto TA and EQ (refer to Auto TA and
EQ(auto-time alignment and auto-equalizing)
onpage 80).
Youcan turn the auto-equalizer on or off.
1 TouchA.MENU and AUDIO and then
touchAUTO EQ.
#Youcannot use this function if auto TA and
EQhas not been carried out.
2 Touchato turn the auto-equalizer on.
