Ifyou want to select a disc located at 7
to12 by using 16, press and hold the
correspondingnumbers such as 1for
disc7, until the disc number appears in
thedisplay.
DVDmode operation
Ifyou switch the mode to DVD, the joystick
and010 operations are changed for DVD
player.

ingfunctions, switch the mode to DVD:
!Whenbrowsing still pictures by using the
joystick.(Refer to Browsing still pictures on
page34.)
!Whenoperating the DVD menu by using
thejoystick. (Refer to Operating the DVD

!Whenoperating the PBC menu by using
010.(Refer to Watching a Video CD on
page44.)
!Whenspecifying group, title or track by
using010. (Refer to Specifying group on
page35, Specifying title on page 42 and Spe-
cifyingtrack on page 48.)
Note
Whenswitching the mode to DVD, you cannot
usethese buttons; BACK,ENTERTAINMENT,
DISPLAY,PGMand DIRECT.
TVmode operation
Ifyou use REAR MONITOR OUT, you can
watchthe TV picture on the rear display inde-
pendently.To operate the TV on the rear dis-
playindependently, switch the mode to TV.In
thiscase, the joystick operation is changed for
TV.
%Whenyou want to operate the follow-
ingfunctions only on therear display,
switchthe mode to TV:
!Whenperforming manual or seek tuning by
movingthe joystick left or right. (Refer to
Watchingthe TV tuner on page 57.)
!Whenrecalling preset stations by moving
thejoystick up or down. (Refer to Storing
andrecalling broadcast stations on page
58.)
!Whenconfirming current channel and
othersettings by pressing DIRECT. (Refer to
Confirmingcurrent channel and other set-
tingson page 59.)
Note
Whenswitching the mode to TV, you cannot use
exceptthe joystick, DIRECT,SOURCE and
VOLUME.
