•Use the MULTI JOG dial (front panel) or the STATION +/– buttons (remote) to select characters.
•Press ENTER to confirm a character. If no character is input, a space is input.
•The name is stored when ENTER is pressed after choosing the fourth character.
1Tune to a station you want to memorize. See Listening to the radio on page 53 for more on this.
2Press TUNER EDIT.1
The display shows ST. MEMORY, then a blinking memory class.
3Press CLASS to select one of the three classes then press STATION +/– to select the station preset you want.
You can also use the MULTI JOG dial (front panel) to select a station preset.
4Press ENTER.
After pressing ENTER, the preset class and number stop blinking and the receiver stores the station.
Naming station presets
For easier identification, you can name your station presets.
1Choose the station preset you want to name.
See Listening to station presets below for how to do this.
2Press TUNER EDIT.1
The display shows ST. NAME, then a blinking cursor at the first character position.
3 Input the name you want.
Names can be up to four characters long.
Tip
•To erase a station name, simply repeat steps
•Once you have named a station preset, you can press DISPLAY when listening to a station to switch the display between the name and the frequency.
Listening to station presets
You will need to have some presets stored to do this. See Saving station presets on page 53 if
you haven’t done this already.2
1Press AM or FM to select the tuner.
2Press CLASS to select the class in which the station is stored.
Press repeatedly to cycle through classes A, B and C.
3Press STATION +/– to select the station preset you want.

2If the receiver is left disconnected from the AC power outlet for an extended period, the station memories will be lost and will have to be reprogrammed.
