Assembling and Maintaining AMT 800-Series Adaptive Motion Trainers

Weekly Maintenance

Perform the following maintenance tasks every week:

1.Disconnect the external power supply.

2.Clean the floor under the equipment using a vacuum cleaner or a damp mop.

3.When the floor is completely dry, reconnect the power (if necessary).

4.Test all console functions, including heart rate monitoring features.

5.Verify that the unit sits squarely on the floor. All of its feet should be touching the floor and the unit should not rock or wobble when in use. If not, re-level it as described in Leveling the AMT.

Monthly Maintenance

Perform the following maintenance tasks every month:

1.Wipe the exterior of the console with a damp sponge or soft cloth, and dry with a clean towel. Keep water away from electronic components to prevent electrical shock or damage.

2.Clean the touchscreen using a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with a 91% isopropyl alcohol solution (either as sold or diluted with an equal amount of water).

3.Wipe down the pedal belts using a clean, dry cloth.

Important: Do not use any cleaning solution or solvent on the pedal belts. Over time, cleaners can cause the outer layers of the belts to deteriorate.

4.Remove the access covers. Vacuum out any debris, being careful not to bring the vacuum cleaner nozzle too close to any circuit board (unless your vacuum cleaner is protected against static buildup).

5.Check the belt tension of the primary, brake, and drive belts (refer to the service manual for detailed instructions).

6.Check all fasteners for proper tightness and torque.

7.Replace all covers.

8.Verify that the unit sits squarely on the floor. All of its feet should be touching the floor and the unit should not rock or wobble when in use. If not, re-level it as described in Leveling the AMT.
