Place or Mount the Equipment

The following steps describe how to mount the chassis in a rack:

1.Mount the Brackets. The chassis must sit on rails or a shelf in the rack or cabinet. Refer to Figure 2-1. The Switch is shipped with a package containing cabinet mounting brackets. The screws are already in the chassis so you must remove them and reuse them to mount the brackets. Mount these brackets on either the front or back corners of the chassis.

2.Place the Switch in a 19” EIA rack and secure it with eight (8) 10-32 machine screws (not supplied). If the vertical space is sufﬁcient, you may leave the rubber feet on the Switch chassis. If the vertical space is not sufﬁ- cient, you may remove the rubber feet by turning them counterclockwise by hand (or with a ﬂat-blade screwdriver).
