The access range restricts the workstations from which printing is possible by me ans of an a d-
dress. If you do not need to restrict printing, make the setting 0.0.0.0”.
The entry is invalid if the start address is greater than the end add ress.
Up to five access ranges can be specified. The entry is invali d if the target number is omitted.
When using a Web browser, telnet or SmartNetMonitor for Client/Admin, you c an use an IP ad-
dress that has not been restricted by access control.
Access Control Initialization
msh> access flush

This restores the factory-default settings so that all access ranges bec ome "0.0.0.0".
DHCP
Use the set command to configure the boot method.
msh> set parameter {on|off}
"on" means active and "off" means inactive.
Note
The default is "on".
When you use DHCP, the server also needs to be configured.
DHCP takes precedence over all other settings.
