Using the Rhythm Performance

Playing Rhythm and Automatic Accompaniment

The Arranger function of the AT-20S can add an Automatic Accompaniment to each Rhythm. Based on the selected Rhythm, the Arranger function automatically adds an ac- companiment that is suitable for the chord being pressed on the Lower keyboard.

Press the Arranger [On/Off] button (indicator lights.)

Rhythm (Drums only)

If the Arranger [On/Off] button is ON and no Pedal bass voice is selected, the Automatic Accompaniment will play the bass sound.

Changing the Tempo

You can change the tempo of the Rhythm or Automatic Accompaniment.

1. Press the Tempo [] and [] buttons to change the tempo (speed) of the Rhythm or Automatic Accompaniment.

By pressing the Tempo [ ] and [ ] buttons simultaneously, the tempo is returned to the standard (preset) tempo for the selected Rhythm.

The value of the tempo currently set (20–250 beats per minute) can be checked in the dis- play.

You can also check the tempo by viewing the Beat indicator.
