5. Use the navigation key to select:

•Flip open,30 seconds,15 seconds, or 8 seconds for the Main

Display.

•Flip open,30 seconds,15 seconds,8 seconds or Off for Keypad.

•On or Off for Pwr Save Mode. Turning on the power save mode will

slow down the user interface response in order to conserve power.

6. Press to save and exit.

Note: Long backlight settings reduce the battery’s talk and standby times.

You can change the brightness of the LCD screens, making them brighter or

dimmer.

To change the LCD Contrast:

1. Press , highlight the Settings menu, and press .

2. Select Display.

3. Select Backlight.

4. Select Brightness.

5. Using the navigation keys, select a brightness level and press .

Sub Contrast

You can change the contrast settings for the front LCD display to suit your needs.

To change the sub LCD contrast:

1. Press , highlight the Settings menu, and press .

2. Select Display.

3. Select Backlight.

4. Select Sub Contrast.

5. Using the navigation keys, select a contrast level and press .

Text Entry

The Text Entry menu allows you to customize how T9 text entry mode functions

on your handset. For more information, see "T9 Text Input" on page 23.
