Landscape

While in the Landscape mode, the full keyboard can be used for text and number

entry.

Entering Special Symbols

1. While in text entry mode, select Options .

2. Select Symbols.

3. Press the number key of the desired symbol to enter it. For example,

press to enter a period. Use the navigation key to scroll down to 



choose from additional sets of symbols.

Note: In the u740, Java applications such as the email and IM client need to be run

in the display mode that it started in. For example, if the application is started in

Portrait mode, closing the flip and then opening the flip in Landscape mode will

suspend the application, and a reminder message to use the other orientation will

be displayed. Simply close the flip and re-open it in the other orientation to access

the running application.

Media Player

To access the Media Player in Landscape mode:

•Press , highlight the Media Player menu, and press .

•Press , highlight the Pics/Video menu, and press .
