•Press the Backspace key ( ) to delete characters behind the
blinking cursor.
•Press and hold keys to enter the symbols or numbers located on the
top of the key.
•For example to enter a period (.), press and hold .
•Press to lock/unlock text entry mode 123.
•Press to cycle between upper case (ABC), lower case
(abc), or initial caps (Abc) for characters in ABC mode.
•Press to dial a vanity number.
For example to dial 1-800-SAMSUNG, enter the number 1-800
using the gray numeric keys. Press , using the QWERTY
keyboard enter SAMSUNG and press .
Note: This feature is only functional in idle mode.
•Press to move the insertion point to the next line in a
message.
•Press the Spacebar ( ) to insert spaces between words or
characters.
8. If you wish to change your text message options, press the right softkey
for Options and select one of the following:
•Alpha changes the text entry mode to Alphabet. For more
information, see page 24.
•Symbol changes the text entry mode to Symbol. For more
information, see page 25.
•Number changes the text entry mode to Numbers.
•Preset Msg allows you to choose one of a list of Preset messages.
•Recent Msg allows you to choose a recent text message as a
template.
•Emoticons allows you to add emoticons such as : ) to your message.
9. Press the left softkey for Next when finished.
