STORING A GROUP INDEX

Auto dial keys (one-touch keys and group keys) are normally stored in the ABC index. To make auto dial keys more convenient to use, you can store a group of auto dial keys in a group index and assign a name to that index. When you switch to the group indexes, [USER 1], [USER 2], [USER 3], [USER 4], [USER 5], and [USER 6] appear. You can assign any name up to 6 characters long to each of the USER indexes.

The procedure for storing auto dial numbers in a group index is explained on page 6-3, and the procedure for switching between the ABC index and the group indexes is explained on page 1-5.

1Press the [CUSTOM SETTINGS] key, and then touch the [ADDRESS CONTROL] key (refer to steps 1 and 2 on page 6-2).

Use the key to clear the displayed name and then enter the desired name. For information on entering characters, see chapter 7 of the "Operation Manual (for general information and copier operation)".

When finished, touch the [OK] key. The new name appears in the screen of step 3.

To change a user index name, re-enter the name as explained in step 3 and 4.
