The child nodes of the node "Filters"

Each "Filters" node has the following child nodes:

Child node

Description

ID ranges

This child node can contain a list of the ID ranges that shall be

considered in a query. The value of each ID range entry lies

within a range that is defined as "from" ..."to".

Included IDs

This child node can contain a list of included IDs that are ex-

pressible considered in a query, e.g. to ensure that the ID

4000 is always included in the query if properly administrated

in the database.

Excluded IDs

This child node can contain a list of excluded IDs that shall be

neglected in a query, e.g. to ensure that the ID 1000 is never

included in a query, even if properly administrated in the data-

base.

Table 5-22

The child nodes of the node "Filters"

In a query, the lists of a Filter are processed in the following sequence:

first the entries of the child node "ID ranges"

then the entries of the child node "Included IDs", and

finally the entries of the child node "Excluded IDs".

Consequently, every ID that is listed in an ID range or as an Included ID, but at the same time also specified as Excluded ID, will not appear in the query result.

The attributes of ID ranges

ID ranges have the following attributes:
