6.2 External Screen Remains Dark
Cause/Remedy
The following causes are possible:
Monitor is switched off
SSwitch on the screen.
Screen has been dimmed
SPress any key on the keyboard.
Brightness control set to dark
SSet the screen brightness control lighter. Please refer to the monitor operating
manual for more detailed information.
Power cable or monitor cable not connected
SSwitch the monitor and computing unit off.
SCheck that the power cable is properly connected to the monitor and to the
computing unit or a grounded shockproof socket.
SCheck that the monitor cable is properly connected to the computing unit and
monitor (where a plug is available).
SSwitch the monitor and computing unit on.
Note
If the monitor screen remains dark following these checks and corrective
measures, contact the technical service department.
