The user interface

Once you have configured the network settings on a PC in your local network, you can

then use that PC to configure the Gigaset SE505 dsl/cable with the router's user

interface. The Gigaset SE505 dsl/cable can be configured using any browser that

supports Java, e.g. Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher, Netscape Communicator

6.0 or higher.

Launching the user interface

To access the Gigaset SE505 dsl/cable's user interface:

◆Launch your Web browser.

◆Enter the router IP address in the Web browser address bar.

http://192.168.2.1

You will then see a login window:

◆Click on LOGIN (the default is no password).

iFor security reasons you should assign a password at a later stage (see

page63).
