You can easily set the timer recording for up to one month in advance.
1 Press SYSTEM MENU.
The System Menu appears.
2 Select “Timer Recording,” and press
ENTER.
3 Select “Easy Timer,” and press
ENTER.
4 Select the programme position and the source using PROG
5 Set the recording mode using REC MODE (page 147).
6 Press HDD or DVD to set the recording destination.
If there is not enough available DVD disc space for the recording, the recorder automatically records the programme to the HDD even if you select “DVD” (Recovery Recording).
7 Move the cursor to the recording start date and time on the grid using </ M/m/,, and press ENTER.
The start time can be set at
•To move the cursor by one hour, press m/M.
•To change the start time after pressing ENTER, press O RETURN.
8 Move the cursor to the recording end time on the grid using </,, and press ENTER.
Maximum recording time is six hours.
9 Select “Yes” to set the timer recording and exit.
The timer setting is added to the schedule list of the GUIDE Plus+ system and the recorder is ready to start recording.

To stop recording during timer recording
Press x REC STOP.
Note that it may take a few seconds for the recorder to stop recording.

If a message indicating that the HDD is full appears on the screen, change the recording destination to “DVD,” or make available space for the recording (page 76).
Using the Quick Timer functionYou can set the recorder to record in 30- minute increments.
Press z REC repeatedly to set the duration.
Each press advances the time in
(normal recording)
The time counter decreases minute by minute to 0:00, then the recorder stops recording (the power turns off).
To cancel the Quick Timer
Press z REC repeatedly until “0:00” appears in the front panel display. The recorder returns to normal recording mode. To stop recording, press x REC STOP.
