SETTING UP

Place the printer in the desired location. and remove all packing material

fromthe printer as shown in Figure 2-2. This packing material is intended to

prevent damage to the printer while in transit.

Youwill want 10keepall the packing material. along with the printer carton,

incase you have to move the printer to anew location.

Installing the platen knob

The platen knob ispacked into an accessory box with other accessories.

Alignthe knob on the platen shaft. which is located on the rig~t-hand side of

the printer. Rotate the knob on the shaft before pushing the knob fully into

position.
