Paper parking

After loading fanfold paper with internal tractor unit, you do not have to

unloadit when youwant to print on acut sheet. The printer will “park” it for

you if you follow the procedure below.

To begin paper parking, startwith the power ON, fanfold paper loaded

inprinting position, and the release lever toward the front of the printer

(&).

Pressthe [ON LINE ]button on the control panelto set the printeroff-

line.The ON LINEindicator light will turn off.

Tear off the printed form at the last perforation, leaving not more than

abouthalf apage showing above the front cover. If necessary, press the

[PAPER FEED [buttonto feed paper forward until aperforation islocated

just above the front cover, and tear there,

Press the [EJECT/PARK/button on thecontrol panel.

The printer will automatically feed thefanfold form backward until the

paper iscompletely free of the platen.

A“PE” message will now appear on the LCD display and abeep will

sound.

Move the release lever toward the rear of the printer (~).

Mount the paper guide in the uprightposition.

Nowyou canload singlesheets.The fanfold paperremainsparked at theback

of the printer.

NOTE:You cannot park the fanfold paper if you have loaded it using the

optionalPull Tractor Unit.
