Adjustthe spacingof thetractor unitsby sliding themalong thebar, using

the clamp lever at the back of each unit to release and lock them in

position.When the clamp lever is up, the unit is released, and when it is

down, the unit islocked.

Now closethe tractor covers, again making sure that the paper holes are

alignedwith the pins onthe tractor units. If they are not aligned properly,

youwill have problems with paper feeding, possibly resulting in tearing

andjamming of the paper.

10.Close the rear cover and the mute cover, then set the paper guide in the

horizontalposition, asshown in Figure3-8. This willseparate theprinted

from the unprinted paper.
