Installing the paper guide

Follow the procedure below to installthe paper guide:

1. Insertthe two slots on either sideof the paper guide into the two tabs on

the rear cover.

2. Place the paper guide horizontally, as shown in Figure 2-10.

Installing the mute cover

Follow the procedure below to installthe mute cover:

1. Insertthe tab on the Ieft side of the mute cover into the hole on the front

cover.

2. Insertthe other tab into the slot on the front cover.

3. Swing down backward to close the mute cover.

Leave thefront and mute covers closed during normal operation. The cover

keepsout dustand dirt and reduces the printer’s operating sounds. Open the

cover only to change the ribbon or make an adjustment.
