INTERFACE CONVERTER (SPC-8K)

To runthe printer in serial mode. you should use the optional Serial/Parallel

Converter (SPC-8K).

The procedure to installthe Converter is:

Setthe DIPswitches onthe SPC-8K beforeattaching it tothe printer.(See

next page for detailed information.)

Turnoff the power switch and disconnect thepower cord from the power

source.

Disconnectthe interface cable if attached.

Connect the Parallel connector to theprinter.

Moveboth c1ipsinside theextended prongs on the sides ofthe plug until

you hear aclick.

6. Connect the Serial connector to your computer.

NOTE: Place the Converter on atable in order notto damage the cable.
