If otherwise specified, this command is ignored. This command becomes effective only after <ESC> “3” or <ESC> “J” is received. The default base unit is set to 1/216”.

Sets the distance the paper advances or reverses in subsequent line feeds to n/180 inch, n/216 inch or n/360 inch (n/180 inch for the Standard mode) according to the preceding base unit.

The value of n is between Oand 255. If n = O,in Standard mode the line-feed distance is set to O, but in IBM mode this command is ignored.

Set line spacing to n160inch or n172inch

In Standard mode, sets the distance the paper advances or reverses in subsequent line feeds to n/60 inch, where n is between Oand 255. If n = O,the line spacing is set to O.

In IBM mode, this command defines the distance the paper advances or reverses in subsequent line feeds to n/72 inch, where n is between 1 and 85. The new line’spacing does not take effect until the next <ESC> “2” command.
