Network [1..1] IEEE8021X Eap Md5

Message-Digest al gorith 5. Is a Challenge Ha ndshake Authentication Pr otocol that relies on a shared
secret. MD5 is a Weak securit y. EAP - Extensible Authe ntication Protocol. MD5 - Mess age Digest
Algorithm 5.
Valuespace: <On/ Off>
On: The EAP-MD5 protocol i s enabled. Default mode is O n.
Off: The EAP-MD5 protoc ol is disabled.
Example: Network 1 IEEE8021X Eap Md5: On

Network [1..1] IEEE8021X Eap Peap

Protected Transport Layer Secu rity. Developed by Microsof t, Cisco and RSA Securit y. Authenticates LAN
clients without the need f or client certificates. E AP - Extensible Auth entication Protocol. PEAP - Prote cted
Extensible Authenti cation Protocol.
Valuespace: <On/ Off>
On: The EAP-PEAP protoc ol is enabled. Default mod e is On.
Off: The EAP-PEAP p rotocol is disabled.
Example: Network 1 IEEE8021X Eap Peap: On

Network [1..1] IEEE8021X Eap TTLS

Tunneled Transport Layer Secur ity. Developed by Funk Softwa re and Certicom. Usuall y supported by
Agere Systems, Proxim and Avaya. Aut henticates LAN client s without the need for clien t certificates. EAP -
Extensible Authenti cation Protocol. TTLS - Tunneled Transp ort Layer Security.
Valuespace: <On/ Off>
On: The EAP-TTLS protocol is en abled. Default mode is On.
Off: The EAP-TTLS protocol i s disabled.
Example: Network 1 IEEE8021X Eap TTLS: On

Network [1..1] IEEE8021X Identity

The 802.1X Identity is the user name neede d for 802.1X authentication.
Valuespace: <S: 0, 64>
Format: String with a max imum of 64 characters.
Example: Network 1 IEEE8021X Identity: “”

Network [1..1] Assignment

Defines whether to use DHCP o r Static IP assignment.
Changes to this setting req uires a restart of the cod ec.
Valuespace: <Static /DHCP>
Static: The IP Address, Su bnet Mask and Default Gateway fo r the system must be specifie d in the
respective address fie lds.
DHCP: The system adresses a re automatically assige nd by the DHCP server.
Example: Network 1 Assignment: DHCP

Network [1..1] DNS Domain Name

DNS Domain Name is the defa ult domain name suffi x which is added to unqualifi ed names.
Example: If the DNS Dom ain Name is “company.com” and the nam e to lookup is “MyVideoSy stem”, this
will result in the DNS look up “MyVideoSystem.comp any.com”.
Valuespace: <S: 0, 64>
Format: String with a max imum of 64 characters.
Example: Network 1 DNS Domain Nam e: “company.com”

Network [1..1] DNS Server [1..5] Address

Defines the network addr esses for DNS servers. U p to 5 addresses may be specifi ed. If the network
addresses are unknown, c ontact your administrator o r Internet Service Provi der.
Valuespace: <S: 0, 64>
Format: String with a max imum of 64 characters.
Example: Network 1 DNS Server 1 Address: “”

Network [1..1] IEEE8021X AnonymousIdentity

The 802.1X Anonymous ID string is to be used as une ncrypted identity w ith EAP types that supp ort
different tunnele d identity, like EAP-PEAP and E AP-TTLS. If set, the anonymous ID wi ll be used for the
initial (unencry pted) EAP Identity R equest.
Valuespace: <S: 0, 64>
Format: String with a max imum of 64 characters.
Example: Network 1 IEEE8021X AnonymousIdentity: “”
