SIP Profile [1..1] Authentication [1..1] LoginName

This is the user name par t of the credentials used to aut henticate towards the SIP proxy.
Valuespace: <S: 0, 50>
Format: String with a max imum of 50 characters.
Example: SIP Prole 1 Authentication 1 LoginName: “”

SIP Profile [1..1] Authentication [1..1] Password

This is the password part of t he credentials used to authe nticate towards the SIP proxy.
Valuespace: <S: 0, 50>
Format: String with a max imum of 50 characters.
Example: SIP Prole 1 Authentication 1 Password:

SIP Profile [1..1] DefaultTransport

Select the transpor t protocol to be used over the LAN.
Valuespace: <UDP/TCP/ TLS/Auto>
UDP: The system will always use U DP as the default transpor t method.
TCP: The system will always use TCP as th e default transport me thod.
TLS: The system will always use T LS as the default transpor t method. For TLS connectio ns a SIP
CA-list can be uploaded usi ng the web interface. If no suc h CA-list is available on the syste m then
anonymous Diffie He llman will be used.
Auto: The system will try to con nect using transpor t protocols in the following ord er: TLS, TCP, UDP.
Example: SIP Prole 1 DefaultTransport: Auto

SIP Profile [1..1] Outbound

The client initiated con nections mechanism fo r firewall traversal, connec tion reuse and redundanc y. The
current version suppo rts http://tools.ietf.org /html/draft-ietf-si p-outbound-20.
Valuespace: <On/ Off>
On: Set up multiple outbo und connections to serv ers in the Proxy Address list.
Off: Connect to the sing le proxy configured first in P roxy Address list.
Example: SIP Prole 1 Outbound: Off

SIP Profile [1..1] Proxy [1..4] Address

The Proxy Address is the man ually configured addre ss for the outbound proxy. It is poss ible to use a fully
qualified domain name, o r an IP address. The default p ort is 5060 for TCP and UDP but a nother one can
be provided. If Outbound is e nabled, multiple proxie s can be addressed.

Format: Compact string wi th a maximum of 255 character s.

SIP Profile [1..1] Proxy [1..4] Discovery

Set the SIP Proxy server di scovery to auto or manual.
Valuespace: <Auto/ Manual>
Manual: When Manual i s selected, the manually c onfigured SIP Proxy addres s will be used
Auto: When Auto is selected, th e SIP Proxy address is obtain ed using Dynamic Host Co nfiguration
Protocol (DHCP).

SIP Profile [1..1] Type

Enables SIP extension s and special behaviou r for a vendor or provider
Valuespace: <Standa rd/Alcatel/Avaya/ Cisco/Microsof t/Nortel/ Experimental/ Siemens>
Standard: Should be use d when registering to stand ard SIP proxy like OpenSer.
Alcatel: Must be used wh en registering to a Alcatel-L ucent OmniPCX Enterpris e R7 or later.
Avaya: Must be used when regis tered to a Avaya Communication Man ager.
Cisco: Must be used when r egistering to a Cisco CallMa nager version 5 or later.
Microsoft: Must be use d when registering to a Micros oft LCS or OCS server.
Nortel: Must be used w hen registering to a Nortel M CS 5100 or MCS 5200 PBX.
Experimental: Ca n be used if auto is not working Note ! This mode is for testing pu rposes only.

SIP Profile [1..1] URI

The SIP URI or number is use d to address the system. This is the UR I that is registered and used by t he
SIP services to route inbo und calls to the system. A Uniform R esource Identifier ( URI) is a compact string
of characters used to identi fy or name a resource.
Valuespace: <S: 0, 255>
Format: Compact string wi th a maximum of 255 character s.
Example: SIP Prole 1 URI: “sip:name@example.com”
