■PRESET tuning
With PRESET tuning, you can tune into DAB services by entering the assigned preset DAB service number.
1Switch to DAB reception and select PRESET as the tuning mode by following steps 1 through 3 as described in “DAB tuning” on page 49.

There are two ways to select a preset DAB service: either by
using / or the numeric buttons.
2a Press / to browse through the preset DAB services in the registry list.
Only the assigned preset numbers (along with the services) appear; unassigned preset numbers are skipped.

DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting)
If there is no service assigned to the preset numbers entered, the numbers entered followed by “EMPTY” appears in the front panel display for one second. The service currently being broadcast is then displayed.
For example, if the preset number “56” was not assigned to a service:
56 EMPTY
Appears for one second
50 BBC Radio 2
Current service being broadcast
56 BBC Radio 4
Appears for three seconds
BBC Radio 4
2b Use the numeric buttons to enter a preset service number.
For example, to select the preset DAB service numbered “56”:
MY BEAM
5 PRESET 5_
MY SUR.
6 PRESET 56
Note
For numbers less than 10, simply press ENTER followed by the number.
