Chapter 3 Tutorial

1Choose a new SSID for the VoIP network. In this example, enter

VOIP_SSID_Example. Note that although the SSID changes, the SSID profile name (VoIP_SSID) remains the same as before.

2Select Enable from the Hide Name (SSID) list box. You want only authorized company employees to use this network, so there is no need to broadcast the SSID to wireless clients scanning the area.

3The standard network (SSID04) is currently using the security01 profile, so use a different profile for the VoIP network. If you used the security01 profile, anyone who could access the standard network could access the VoIP wireless network.

Select security02 from the Security field.

4Leave all the other fields at their defaults and click Apply.

3.3.2.1 Set Up Security for the VoIP Profile

Now you need to configure the security settings to use on the VoIP wireless network. Click the Security tab.
