Note the following differences between the 9102/3 and the 9101:

The 9102/3 is deeper and so has different environment / mounting options (refer to 1.5.2).

Power and Grounding for the 9102/3 is for an AC Power Supply, and so there is no PEM (refer to 1.9).

Note: The AC Power Supply Module must have power input that meets specifications listed in the Allied Telesyn MAP Component Specification.

1.2 Following Procedures for the 9101, 9102, and 9103

Most of the procedures for installing the 9100 product are the same, with the main difference the options for pro- viding power.

Most steps in this Guide apply to all three product types and are referred to as the 9100 product. When a proce- dure is specifically for a 9101, 9102, or 9103, there is a separate heading.

1.3 Selecting a Site for the 9100

Before installing the Allied Telesyn 9101, prepare the site to ensure the product will operate in the correct envi- ronment, all materials meet specifications, and all installation tasks can be performed.
