STORING THE CLOTHES WASHER

Washers can be damaged if water is not removed from hoses and internal components before storage. Prepare the washer for storage as follows:

•Select the “cottons” cycle setting and add 1/3 cup of bleach to the bleach dispenser without clothes in the tumbler. Run the clothes washer through a complete cycle.

•Turn the water faucets off and disconnect the inlet hoses.

•Disconnect the clothes washer from the electrical supply and leave the washer lid open to let air circulate inside the tub.

•If the washer has been stored in below-freezing temperatures, allow time for the water left over in the washer to thaw out prior to use. This may take several hours.
